China UnionPay, UnionPay Commerce and Jiangsu Tongxingbao signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement
Full coverage of mobile payment at highway toll stations in the province
On November 6, China UnionPay Co., Ltd. Jiangsu Branch, UnionPay Commerce Co., Ltd. Jiangsu Branch and Jiangsu Tongxingbao Intelligent Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. jointly signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Ningxia. The entire networked expressway in Jiangsu Province adopts Guolang High-speed toll terminals with high-tech dual offline technology, currently all 420 toll stations have achieved full coverage of mobile payments.
This strategic cooperation is an important milestone for the three parties to jointly promote highway management towards intelligence, networking and informatization, and is an important measure to achieve a powerful transportation country. Based on the content of strategic cooperation, China UnionPay and UnionPay Commerce make full use of their technical advantages in the field of payment to realize mobile payment acceptance scenarios at highway toll stations across the province and create convenient, efficient and intelligent "code" customs clearance.
After intense R&D design and multiple tests and joint debugging, the Jiangsu Internet Expressway mobile payment system independently developed by UnionPay Business was officially put into use in the MTC lane of the provincial Internet Expressway toll station. The system provides acquiring services for mainstream mobile payments such as UnionPay QuickPass, WeChat, and Alipay for customs clearance and payment. The mother-in-one code scanning equipment placed in the window of the toll booth allows car owners of different models to open the payment QR code when passing through the toll station at the exit of our province's networked highways, and the payment can be completed by scanning. At the same time, the core payment gateway of the platform adopts financial-level security encryption, making data transmission backup and user privacy more secure and reliable.
At present, mobile payment has fully covered 420 toll stations and about 1,800 exit lanes on networked highways throughout Jiangsu Province. During the trial operation period, more than 80,000 mobile payment vehicles were accepted every day, and the average daily transaction amount exceeded 5 million yuan. The new mode of scanning QR code to pay for highway passes can greatly avoid the tedious manual change and reduce the pressure of cash counting. The traffic efficiency has been greatly improved, and payment by scanning the QR code has been welcomed. Mobile payment on the expressway has been favored and praised by the majority of drivers and passengers.
