Mobile payment covers tollhouses in Jiangsu Province
On November 6, the Jiangsu Branch of China UnionPay Co., Ltd. and China UnionPay Merchant Services Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Tongbao Intelligent Transportation Technology Co., Ltd. jointly signed a framework agreement of strategic cooperation in Ningxia. The high speeds in Jiangsu Province use the toll terminal of Golong Technology dual offline technology. At present, mobile payment has covered 420 tollhouses.
This strategic cooperation is an important milestone for the three parties to jointly promote the management of high speeds to become intelligent, networked, and informatized. It is also an important measure for building national strength in transportation. China UnionPay and UnionPay Merchant Services make full use of their technical advantages in the field of payment to realize the mobile payment of tollhouses in Jiangsu province and create a convenient, efficient, and intelligent “code” based on strategic cooperation.
After intense R&D design, multiple tests, and joint adjustment, the Jiangsu high speed mobile payment system independently developed by UnionPay Merchant Services was officially put into use in the MTC lane. The system can support UnionPay QuickPass, WeChat, Alipay, and other mainstream mobile payments. There are two types of high speed payment terminals in the window of the tollhouses. They can meet the needs of different vehicles. Drivers can open the QR code when passing tollhouses, and the payment can be gone through. At the same time, the core payment gateway of the platform adopts financial-level security encryption. Therefore, data transmission backup and user privacy are more secure and reliable.
At present, mobile payment has fully covered 420 tollhouses and about 1,800 exits throughout Jiangsu Province. During the trial operation, more than 80,000 vehicles used mobile payment. The average daily transaction amount has exceeded 5 million yuan. The new model of payment can greatly avoid the cumbersome manual change and reduce the pressure of cash counting. The passing efficiency has been greatly improved. QR code payment has been well received. The high speed mobile payment has been favored and well-received by the majority of drivers and passengers.
