The Golong video surveillance system is divided into three parts: front-end on-board monitoring system, communication line, and monitoring platform. The front-end on-board monitoring system also includes hard disk video recorders, surveillance cameras, monitor heads, LCD, GPS, etc. The communication line includes the front-end mobile transmission and the back-end command center Ethernet network. The monitoring platform includes monitoring software and a series of service groups such as GIS, streaming media, databases, application servers, etc. The front-end system directly starts the the on-board monitoring device through startup. The camera extracts the internal and external information, which is compressed and stored by the on-board monitoring host. According to the presetting, the on-board embedded monitoring system will transmit the bus status, real-time location, inside and outside information, staff working status, and some real-time scenarios of emergencies to the central server with the help of wireless network GPRS, CDMA, EDGE, 3G, etc., and then transmit the information to the manager’s monitor through the central server.
