

Recently, Golong helped the Xinchang County Transportation Bureau implement the intelligent road inspection project.
Road monitoring has mainly depended on manual inspection for a long time, but manual inspection is time-consuming and labor-intensive, which can cause high-labor intensity, low efficiency, and scattered inspection quality. It is demanding for workers to handle illegal occupations, abnormal stacking things, banners, and other obstacles through manual driving. Furthermore, it is also susceptible to many factors such as natural weather and road conditions. Therefore, Xinchang County took the lead in using intelligent equipment and actively started using the intelligent road inspection system.
The intelligent road inspection system is a new initiative of the Xinchang County Transportation Bureau under the trend of digital reformation. Golong provides four steps of services which include installation, intelligent inspection, closed-loop handling, and risk assessment for the Xinchang County Transportation Bureau.
On-board installation
The Xinchang County Transportation Bureau tends to replace the previous manual inspection with a three-in-one equipment that highly integrates high-definition cameras, AI identification, and hard disk hosts in buses. At the same time, the equipment is combined with GIS visualization technology and intelligent algorithms to build a bus and road intelligent inspection scene that can perceive networks and maps, and reshape the business process of road automatic inspection and integrated operation and maintenance management.
Intelligent inspection
The driving videos of buses’ front view can be transmitted to the AI on-board system through 4K high-definition road cameras combined with intelligent AI on-board brains and hardware hosts in all scenarios. Pictures of suspected road damages or obstacles and GPS location can be uploaded to the cloud platform.
In this cooperation, devices were installed in Xinchang county buses. It can replace the previous manual inspection in daily operations. The abnormal result of comparing pictures and coordinates can be automatically sent to the cloud platform of the management department through the accurate AI calculation method. The cloud platform can send these data to the law enforcement team and the Big Data Bureau for storage and management in different ways.
Closed-loop handling
Relevant reports will be generated backstage simultaneously during intelligent road inspection, providing data support for road quality risk research and judgment. The traditional manual inspection can be replaced by intelligent road inspection. The intelligent algorithm has high computing power and high accuracy. It can identify up to 3 large categories and over 20 subcategories of faults. Using scientific and technological means and intelligent identification technology can get twice the result with half the effort.
The data can be sent to the law enforcement brigade and the big data bureau through the combination of intelligent road inspection, manual inspection, and network monitoring terminals. Once the law enforcement brigade receives the data, the type of problem can be determined intelligently. The corresponding unit will be informed of the related problems. After knowing the problem, the responsible unit will deal with the problem in a timely manner according to the comparison picture and the overview of the situation. After the process is completed, it can upload the current picture of the problem and the handling process, and realize the digital management of the whole process, so that it can be sorted and summarized in the future, which can provide evidence.
Risk assessment
Through historical big data and artificial intelligence analysis, it can make early warnings and plan in advance through intelligent models for risk assessment. The roads that always have damages and obstacles can be screened out scientifically and efficiently with the help of big data and artificial intelligence analysis. The intelligent risk assessment model is used to prevent risky damages in advance with the combination of existing damages while avoiding the safety risks caused by inspectors getting out of the car and taking photos.
The intelligent road inspection system was introduced in Xinchang County, accelerating the popularization of green and low-carbon transportation networks and the establishment of intelligent transportation systems. Hangzhou Golong Technology has efficiently completed the construction of digital scenarios and the development of intelligent transportation.
This is a new expansion of the digital scene and another big step forward in the field of “smart transportation”.
All the inspection data not only can be kept in the file perfectly but also can be recalled at any time.
